Commissions

Ali welcomes commissions.

All you need to do is come up with a subject and have an idea about the style and media. It may be worth looking through her work (see gallery) to get an idea of what you’re looking for. Ali can give advice if you need it.

Questions to consider:

1. Subject: Are you wanting a painting of your garden, or your pet, or a special place, etc?
2. Do you want it painted or drawn?…in pencil, watercolour, mixed media, acrylics etc?
3. Do you want it framed?
4. Do you have a colour theme in mind?
5. Do you have a budget in mind?

The way forward:

Once you have an idea, Ali will take you through the following process:

1. Discuss your idea in more detail and agree on an idea and a final price
2. Payment of half the agreed price must be paid before Ali starts
3. Ali will come up with some preliminary sketches and colour ideas.
4. Again discussion will take place
5. Ali will start the drawing or painting and will send you a progress report where you can have your say at each stage
6. Wherever possible, Ali is happy to make changes. NB A pure watercolour painting is much more difficult to change whereas, with acrylics & mixed media works, it is much easier.
