As many of you already know I am hard of hearing. There are many strategies I use to help me understand what people are saying to me as many letter sounds are completely off my repertoire. Reading lips is essential to my understanding of those missing clues (alongside many other strategies). I started to plan a painting to illustrate my frustrations and to make people aware of the problems faced by those of us who suffer with our ears! This is the result.
Of course wearing masks at the time was essential to keep us all safe ....and this was not the message I was trying to convey. Of course we had to wear them! To paint this was a kind of therapy for me I guess and trying to make people aware of the problems it caused all the many people out there who suffer from deafness.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! .....and for all the many people who helped me and wrote down notes, used the phone to message and other helpful devices! Hugely appreciated!😍 ... See MoreSee Less
